It is the teacher's responsibility to schedule their students within their teacher block and let the students/parents know.

 
Please provide a list of students’ names and events. This will help the judges stay on schedule.

IMPORTANT!!!

  • FFMC Child Protection Form – 
    Deadline February 1st, 2025 - All Judges, Volunteers, Workers, Accompanists and Teachers. 
    This form is mandatory by the FFMC.
    Submit a signed document electronically by uploading to https://www.dropbox.com/request/o0QSXnGbuQsFkouXRxFj

     

  • Each teacher is required to volunteer for 2 hours in-person, find a responsible adult or choose to pay a $75 fee to cover the cost of hiring outside help.
    Make checks payable to Bay Ridge District give the check to the festival chair on the day of the festival.

  • There are no refunds. If you have cancellations, please send an email to bayridgefestivaltampa@gmail.com with names and events as soon as possible, so that we have records for the final report. 

 

Reminders (please refer to previous emails/website for details): 
 

  • Download and print the VIVACE generated rating sheet. 2 copies for Solo/Concerto/Pat/Folk/Hymn, etc. 1 copy for Sight Play. No rating sheet needed for Theory. 

  • Students must provide original music to the judges and clearly mark the measures.  Students will be disqualified if there is no music for the Judges.

  • Memorization rules can be found in the Bulletin on pg. xi.

  • If accompaniment is indicated in the score, an accompaniment must be used. Bulletin pg. xv.

  • Students should arrive 15 minutes early to their audition room.

  • NEW: Students should register via posted QR code upon arrival. 

  • Teachers and parents/family members are allowed inside the audition room, space permitting. Except sight play and theory rooms. 

  • NO Video and Audio Recording is allowed, per Bulletin pg. xvi. This is a cause for disqualification.

  • Theory will be offered every audition day in Room #107. Students may take the test before or after their playing audition. Last student will be admitted at 4pm, so plan accordingly.

  • Practice tests are available HERE

  • Sight Play on Feb.15th and 23rd will be done in the audition room at the time of the student's audition.  

  • CHANGE: On February 22nd, Sight Play will be offered 1pm-5pm in Room #123. Students should sign-up for a time slot on the door.
